DARLING in the FRANXX

The story takes place in a long time from now. When the land is destroyed, people build the mobile fort city Plantation. Pilots made in Plantation live in Mistilteinn, which is also called the "birdcage." Children live there, and they don't know anything about the outside world or the sky. The only thing they do is fight to complete missions. Their enemies are mysterious giant beings called Kyouryuu, and the kids fight them with robots called Franxx. For the kids, riding the Franxx is proof that they are real. Code:016 is the name of a boy named Hiro, who was once known as a prodigy. But he has fallen behind, and it seems like he is no longer needed. If you don't fly a Franxx, it's like you don't exist. One day, a strange girl called "Zero Two" shows up in front of him. Her head has two horns coming out of it.
