A Cowgirl's Story
Dusty Rhodes is fresh at Jefferson High, and she sticks out like a.. . well, a cowgirl. Dusty is just a true cowgirl out of Texas. Her parents have been in the U.S. Army: her mum a helicopter pilot along with also her father a Special Forces Army Ranger. Initially, Dusty can be an outcast, but she makes friends with a group which features Savanah, a girl whose father was killed while fighting in Iraq. Although Savanah is type of Dusty and Goth is cowgirl they will possess a special connection and they bond. Dusty gets the school to agree to an Equestrian Drill Team and that she enlists her CitySlicker friends to join the team. Since the team practice and Dusty, Dusty deals with the anxieties which can come with her mommy fighting in Afghanistan.
