Akeelah and the Bee
Tonight year old Akeelah Anderson's lifetime is not easy: her father is dead, and her mom ignores her, her brother runs with the regional gangbangers. She is smart, but her environment threatens to strangle her aspirations. Reacting to a threat with the main of her school, Akeelah participates at a parasitic to prevent detention. Much to her surprise and embarrassment, she wins. Her chief requests her to look for instruction from a British professor named Dr. Larabee for its more prestigious regional bee.
