American short subject documentary film in black-and-white, that is noteworthy as the first movie led by Stanley Kubrick. Kubrick financed the film himself, also it's based in an photo feature he had done being a photographer for Look magazine in 1949. 'Day of the Fight' shows Irish-American middleweight boxer Walter Cartier to the day of a struggle with black middleweight Bobby James, that took place, during the height of his career.
