He is a farmer who likes to drink, but his farm is in bad shape. John Mills plays the farmer in this movie. She is called Dulcima, and she takes care of him and is his cleaner. He is happy to have some company, and she needs to make money to pay the bills. This makes things more complicated when she starts seeing the gamekeeper. He starts to fall for her. However, one day she finds out that the farmer is very rich and decides that she wants to be with him after all. However, she can't stop seeing the gamekeeper, and the farmer finds out about it.
