Mary and Martha
Loaded American housewife Mary Morgan takes son George was bullied by her for example a trip to Southern Africa, out of school for home education. Whilst in Mozambique George is bitten by a mosquito which dies and crawls through a pit in his net of malaria. After his funeral at home Mary feels a compulsion to come back to Africa where she meets with English woman Martha O'Connell,whose 2-4 year-old son Ben, a teacher with voluntary service in addition has died of malaria. Ben gave his net believing adults cannot catch malaria. Both women are not able to see the higher death rate caused by the disease also,whilst Martha remains in Africa like a helper,Mary petitions the American government to change things. Martha ends up in Mary's house unannounced and, helped by the ex-diplomat daddy of Mary,they address a senate committee on health spending,persuading them to do more to combat malaria. Though a coda states that even more may be accomplished they meet with some success.
