The Grounds
Calvin, an alcoholic wastrel, is forced to find a brand-new task after he is discharged from his grounds-keeping work at a golf links. After frightening other possible applicants, he is worked with to tend the premises of a gorgeous hill mansion by Julie, the personal assistant to the proprietor of the house. Jack, heartbroken as well as self-destructive, has refused to leave his property since his partner left him for a previous love a year prior. On the night Jack chooses to finish it all, an intoxicated Calvin unintentionally disrupts his boss' suicide attempt. Calvin convinces Jack that it's not worth it to kill himself when he has the methods to proceed living his reclusive way of life indefinitely. The two bond over their shared inclination to numb and also busy their minds instead of challenge the pains of their past.
