Al Berto

In 1975, Portugal was the setting. This is a period of significant transition. A young gay artist who finds himself stranded in a small beach village controlled by communist forces. Al Berto, the writer, epitomizes an entire generation of people who are on the move. He and his pals exude youth, eccentricity, and optimism for the future - but the public isn't ready for his love tale just yet, as the country is still recovering from the fall of the authoritarian regime in Portugal.
