All the Mornings of the World

It's late 17th century. The viola da gamba player Monsieur de Sainte Colombe comes home to discover that his wife died while he was away. In his grief he builds a house in his garden to wich he moves to devote his life to his two young girls and music Toinette and Madeleine , averting the world. Curious about his music reaches into the court of Louis XIV, that desires him court in Lully's orchestra, and is equally widespread, but Monsieur de Sainte Colombe refuses. A new man, Marin Marais, comes to watch him with a petition one day, he wishes to be taught just how to play the violin.
