Art of Obsession
Following the death of his family in a car accident and the failure of his most recent book, famed novelist Kennedy Sait withdraws from society and turns to drugs and alcohol to dull the anguish he is experiencing. Kennedy's life is turned around once he meets Patricia, the new wife of his next-door neighbor. Kennedy is struggling to get by on a day-to-day basis. She captures his attention and becomes his "muse," inspiring him not just to create again, but also to live again, as a result of his feelings for her. His attraction with her, on the other hand, develops into a potentially lethal obsession. In order to ensure that he does not lose Patricia, he kidnaps her and imprisons her in his attic. Police officers sweep the neighborhood in search of a trace of the missing woman, completely unaware that she has been standing in front of their faces the entire time. Patricia tries to maintain her composure and is continually on the lookout for a way out, though she believes she will never be able to break free from her captivity as Kennedy's grasp on reality continues to deteriorate in a terrifying downward spiral.
