Beyond a Reasonable Doubt
A newspaper author, intending to show a point concerning the lack of circumstantial evidence, chats his possible son-in-law Tom into a hoax in an attempt to reveal awkwardness of the city's hard-line district attorney. The plan is to have Tom plant hints resulting in his apprehension for eliminating a women bar dancer. When Tom is found guilty, he is to reveal the arrangement and humiliate the DA.
