Beyond the Blackboard

"Beyond the Blackboard," which is based on a true story, is about a 24-year-old first-time teacher who makes a difference in the lives of the homeless kids she teaches in a shelter's makeshift classroom. During the 1980s, this movie tells the story of a new teacher who gets a job that is more difficult than she thought. She ends up teaching homeless kids in a school that is housed in a room and called "The School with No Name." Before she can be a true teacher for these kids, she has to get over some personal prejudices. There are also obstacles like not having enough books and supplies. She has to get over these things first.
