Bitter Rice

Francesca and Walter are two-bit offenders in Northern Italy, and, in an effort to prevent law enforcement, Francesca joins an organization of women rice workers. She matches the peasant rice worker, Silvana, and the soon-to-be-discharged soldier. Walter follows her into the ricefields, and the four characters get embroiled in a complex plot involving love robbery, and even murder.
