Kaede is fed up with the monotony of her job and the lack of progress in her relationship with her boyfriend. Upon returning to her hometown, her spirits are lifted by Takuya, who she and her brother Ryuta had become friends with during their childhood. Following their reunion, the buddies had a wonderful time together. However, when Ryuta's girlfriend Yuki becomes pregnant, revelations are made that cause their relationship to be irreversibly altered.
