Burden of Dreams

Werner Herzog, a German film director, starts working on his 1982 epic "Fitzcarraldo." He soon runs into problems, from casting issues to his own stubbornness about not using special effects in the movie. It took a long time to reshoot a lot of the movie because the lead actor was replaced. Then, his crew had to move an old-fashioned steamboat over a mountain with only their own strength. With a level of determination that comes close to insanity, Herzog fights to make his vision come true, even if it means he dies.
