Chapter & Verse

S. Lance Ingram, a gang boss who has served a ten-year prison sentence, returns to Harlem and finds it difficult to adjust to the new normal. Lance is forced to accept a job at a local food bank because he is unable to use the IT skills he learned in prison. At this location, the 75-year-old woman known as Ms. Maddy becomes his best friend, and he brings her dinners. Lance re-discovers the joys of life and living via her, despite the oppressive society they live in.
