Correspondences

Jorge de Sena had to leave his home country because of the war. First, he moved to Brazil, then to the United States. He didn't go back to Portugal. For 20 years, he kept in touch with Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen by letter. It is clear that these letters are proof of how much the two poets care for each other. In them, they long for each other and want to fill years of distance with hours of conversation. Through excerpts and verses, they start a conversation that shows their different views but also their strong bond and how they want to keep it until they die.
