Dolores
Dolores Huerta defied female norms in the 1950s by forming the country's first farm worker's union with Cesar Chavez. A fight for racial and labor justice quickly evolves into a fight for gender equality inside the same union that she is finally forced to leave. Dolores emerges with a vision that ties her newfound feminism with racial and class justice as she copes with raising 11 children, three marriages, and nearly being battered to death by a tactical police unit in San Francisco.
