Empire of Passion

A young man has a sexual relationship with an older woman. He is extremely envious of her husband and determines that they should assassinate him. They strangle the husband and drop his body down a well one night after he has consumed a substantial amount of sake and has retired to bed. She creates the appearance that her spouse has left for work in Tokyo in order to avoid any suspicions. For three years, the wife and her lover have been having covert encounters with one another. " People begin to spread rumors when their suspicions are too strong. She is further compounded by the fact that her husband's ghost begins to torment her, and the authorities arrive to investigate her husband's disappearance.
