Ezer Kenegdo

Izzy Jonigkeyt, a Chassidic Jew from Crown Heights, goes to San Francisco to visit Marek Wisniewski, who was born in Poland and is now a Catholic. He wants to know why Bay Area art-world iconoclast Harry Kierk wants to destroy a lifetime's worth of his own work. As the visit goes on, Izzy and Marek learn for the first time that complicated historical baggage is getting in the way of their curious friendship. Soon, they start to understand why Kierk is so driven to destroy. Marek's cousin, Irek, is somewhat anti-Semitic, but he is their only way to get in touch with Kierk.
