Documents the lives of Most infamous fakers Elmyr de Hory and Clifford Irving. By selling forged artwork by painters such as Matisse and Picasso de Hory, who committed suicide in order to avert more prison time, made his name. Irving was infamous for writing a fake autobiography of Howard Hughes. Welles moves between fiction and documentary since he assesses the basic aspects of fraud and also the people who commit fraud at the cost of others.
