Hang Time
This renowned Marlborough landmark, the grapevine, takes center stage in a comedic feature film that was filmed in a local vineyard over the course of just 11 days. A couple of days before they were supposed to get married at a vineyard, Harry, a young man in his twenties played by Hayden J. Weal from the television show Chronesthesia, was rejected by his fiancée. In an effort to cheer Harry up, two of his buddies make sure that the wine isn't wasted while they try to cheer him up. Casey Zilbert penned the screenplay and directed the movie, which was influenced by the classic Ernest Hemingway novel Fiesta (also known as The Sun Also Rises), which is about a group of intoxicated Americans living in Europe. The film Hang Time is Zilbert's debut feature; during her time at the university, she majored in both wine science and fiesta.
