Harvest

In the 30s, a little town in the Provence is shedding its occupants since youngsters prefer to head to the city to discover simple work and escape from being farmers staying in family member destitution. Only a few old individuals and the poacher Panturle continue to be. Panturle dreams of bringing the town back to life, finding a better half, establishing a family and also work as a farmer. Someday, the town is gone to by a taking a trip knife-grinder, Urbain Gedemus as well as a girl, Arsule. Gedemus deals with Arsule like a slave, however Arsule accept this because she has no place to go and also -we guess- her 'job' with Gedemus is the last point that saves her from being a prostitute. When she fulfills Panturle and also understands about his dreams, she escapes from Gedemus and also makes a decision to remain with him. With each other, they begin a new life, made of difficult farming job yet mainly of happiness to have each other - meeting the earlier imagine Panturle.
