Hope and Glory
Director John Boorman drew out of his or her own childhood adventures of a boy growing up in and about London during World War II. For Billy Rowan, a frightful show is provided by the nightly bombings, however they comprise opportunities to sift through the rubble with friends in the mornings. As Billy plays, his family struggles to remain intact since they suffer through the anguish and declines of wartime.
