I Am Slave
When Mende Nazer's story was told, Malia, the daughter of a Sudanese wrestler, was12, and she was taken from her village in the Nubar Mountains by pro-government Arab militia. She was sold into slavery to a woman in Khartoum, where she was beaten for touching her own daughter, and the story is told in this way: Then, after six years, she is sent to London, where her name is changed, but her life of servitude isn't over yet: Taking her passport means that her father will die if she goes to the police. Lucky for her, there's a person who seems to offer her the chance to get away and see Bah again in Sudan. There are still about 5,000 "slave" workers in Britain, even though the movie is full of hope.
