Joseph Kilian
The plot revolves around Harold, a lonely figure in a world of totalitarian bureaucracy. Harold travels to Prague to track down an old acquaintance, Joseph Kilian. When Harold comes across a state-run cat-lending store, he rents a feline for the day on the spur of the moment. Later, when he tries to return the cat, he discovers that the store has closed. Harold continues his search for Kilian now that he has a canine companion. Pavel Juracek's 40-minute film, written and directed by him, effectively aims its allegorical shots at personality cults and the absurdities of a totalitarian regime.
