Journey to the Far Side of the Sun

A planet is discovered in precisely the exact same orbit as Earth's but is located on the opposite side of sunlight, making it not visible from Earth. The European Space Exploration Council decide to deliver American astronaut Glenn Ross and also British scientist John Kane via spaceship to explore the other world. After a Ross awakes to learn they apparently have returned to Earth and Kane lies near death, as evidenced by the presence of the Council manager and his staff. Released to his wife's prosecution, he soon learns things aren't as they seem.
