Kagemusha

Akira Kurosawa's lauded macabre epic gifts the story of a small thief who's recruited to impersonate Shingen, an warlord, in order to avoid strikes by competing clans. When Shingen expires, his generals accept own the impostor take over as the ruler that is highly effective. His commitment to the role would be tested when he must lead his troops to battle against the forces of a warlord, although he soon starts to appreciate life as Shingen.
