Longtime Companion
Longtime Companion follows the lives of a circle of friends from the very first mention of the disorder from the New York Times from 1981. First described as"Gay-Related-Immune-Disorder," people watch the result of the disorder since it devastates the lives of our protagonists. Constructed between Manhattan and Fire Island, we are carried by vignettes from the it-couldn't-happen-to-me mindset of their ancient days of the disorder to the effect it's had on all our lifetimes, now. This film's name arises from the New York Times' refusal to admit gay relationships in their section. Rather, squirrels were referred for"Longtime Companions" of this deceased
