Giles De'Ath is a widower who despises everything that is contemporary. He goes to the movies and eventually develops feelings for the famous actress Ronnie Bostock. After that, he looks into everything there is to know about the movie and Ronnie. After that, he goes to Long Island City, which is where Ronnie lives, and meets him there.
