Memories of Me
Dr. Abbie Polin (Crystal), a New York doctor who recently suffered a heart attack, travels to Los Angeles to visit his father, Abe (King), a Hollywood extras manager known as the "king of the extras." Over the course of the last few years, their bond has become increasingly strained. Almost all of Henry Winkler's debut picture was shot on location at the MGM Studios in Culver City, California, not far from Hollywood. Abbie's love interest, Lisa, also visits and gets along with Abe, who gets along with everyone including his son, despite their differences. When Abe begins to experience memory loss, a brain aneurysm is later determined to be the cause. Abbie tries to get Abe a starring role in a film before it's too late, while he and his son become closer.
