Aliah Rupawala, 24, is a Bohri Muslim woman from an extremely strict household. She starts working as a Suicide Prevention Counselor in secret and on her first day, she saves the life of a 52-year-old man who was going to jump off a high-rise terrace. To persuade him to open up and share, she has to reveal a lot of herself, which forces her to confront why she became a Suicide Prevention Counselor in the first place. She throws herself headfirst into her mission to save the caller, working through and releasing her own feelings of isolation and loss in the process. She helps the man, who has been a suicide prevention counselor for 15 years, and in the process, she heals both their hearts.
