Oedipus Rex

In prewar Italy, a young couple have a baby boy. The father is jealous of his kid - and also the scene moves into antiquity, where the baby has been taken into the desert to be killed. He's rescued, given the name Edipo (Oedipus), and brought up by the King and Queen of Corinth as their kid. That an oracle in-forms Edipo he is destined to kill his father and marry his mother, 1 day. Horrifiedhe flees Corinth and his presumed parents - only to enter a fight and kill an elderly man in the street...
