Once There Was Brasília
Disguised as dystopian science fiction, the film combines references to both George Miller and JG Ballard. It looks at the current political and social situation in Brazil, specifically the impeachment process of President Dilma Rousseff, and imagines a different future for the country. As the capital of the country, and as one of the most important utopias of the twentieth century in Brazil, the city of Braslia shares the spotlight with a couple of renegades who live on the margins while they wait for their own and the country's redemption.
