Only Yesterday
It's 1982, and Taeko is 27 years old, unmarried, and it has lived her whole life in Tokyo. She decides to go to her family in the countryside, and also as the train travels through night, memories flood back with her years: the immature stirrings of romance, the start of puberty, and also the frustrations of math and boys. At the station farmer Toshio meets her, and also the encounters with him begin to reconnect her to forgotten longings. In switches between the present and the past, Taeko wonders if she has been true to the dreams of her childhood self, and also contemplates the arc of her entire life.
