Pacific Rim
When legions of monsters started rising from the ocean, a warfare began that would take a huge number of lives and absorb the funds of humanity for decades on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a particular kind of weapon was devised: massive robots which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose heads are secured in a neural pathway. However, the Jaegers are demonstrating not exactly defenseless facing the Kaiju. On the verge of defeatthe forces defending mankind have no option but to turn to two unlikely heroes--a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and also an undercover trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)--who are teamed to induce a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as the last hope against the apocalypse that is mounting of mankind.
