Pelle the Conqueror

The ending of the 19th century. A boat filled with Swedish emigrants comes to the Danish island of Bornholm. Are his son Pelle who proceed to find work along with Lasse. They find employment but are treated as the lowest type of life. Pelle starts to speak Danish but continues to be plagued as a foreigner. However, not one of them really wants to offer up their dream of getting a better life .
