Pit Stop

Rick Bowman, a drag racing street punk, concerns the interest of business man Grant Willard. Willard offers him as a stock car driver and bails him out of jail. Bowman takes and enters the demolition derby-adjacent planet of"figure eight" racing. The king of this figure eight track has been cocky hotshot Hawk Sidney. Bowman and Sidney battle. Hawk's pretty friend Jolene falls prey to Bowman's charm. Bowman's gaze changes the wife of champion racer Ed McLeod, upon Ellen McLeod. Since Bowman moves upward in the rankings, his regard for his friends slips- giving solution to obsession with becoming the best.
