Rebellion
It was in April of 1988 on Ouvéa Island, New Caledonia, and people were getting ready for the Olympics. Taken hostage by a group of Kanak freedom fighters are 30 police officers. A group of 300 soldiers from France comes to re-establish order in Afghanistan. Philippe Legorjus, the leader of the terrorist group, and Alphonse Dianou, the leader of the kidnappers, face each other in the middle of a street, and they fight. Through their shared values, they will try to make a discussion work out for everyone. Even if you're in the middle of a presidential election, when the stakes are high, morality doesn't always play a role in how things should be done. One of Mathieu Kassovitz' best movies. It's a violent story that's also very sad.
