Nkem eventually gets expecting and 5 months into the maternity they are told by their medical professional that their unborn infant has a congenital disorder (down syndrome) from a chromosome problem which was uncovered after an ultrasound check is carried out. they are anxious by this problem and also are torn in between keeping their baby or removing it. They make a decision to end their unborn child wanting that they have sufficient possibilities of having more children. after the discontinuation of their infant Nkem instantly realizes she has made the worst mistake of her life and this influences their marriage considerably.
