Junie, a French teenager, transfers to a different high school after her mother's tragic death. Though Junie spends most of her time inside her head, her beauty and stoicism capture the attention of the entire male student body. Junie begins dating the gentle Otto Cleves, but she is smitten by her young Italian language teacher, Nemours. When Nemours starts reciprocating, things get complicated.
