The Flight of the Eagle

S. A. Andrée, a 19th century Swedish engineer, sets out to become the first man to reach the North Pole. His plan is to embark on a polar expedition with two friends using a hydrogen balloon. The balloon "The Eagle" takes off from Svalbard in 1897, but the three men are never seen or heard from again.
