The House on Carroll Street
After being fired for refusing to provide names to the 1951 House Un-American Activities Committee, Emily Crane decides to work as an elderly woman's companion part-time. One day, her attention is caught by a loud debate happening in a nearby house that is being mostly done in German. This is especially noteworthy because one of the participants is her major senator prosecutor. She begins investigating and gradually enlists the assistance of FBI agent Cochran, who was initially sent to look into her. When things go nasty, it's a good thing.
