The Long Island Serial Killer: A Mother's Hunt for Justice informs the story of Mari Gilbert's search for the fact behind what happened to her child Shannan, an at some point escort that went away after a 'date' on Long Island. After Shannan (Katharine Isabelle, Hannibal) fails to come residence, her mom Mari (Kim Delaney) knows something is horribly wrong. Pleading to police to take her issues seriously, she keeps pushing the authorities for answers.
