The Long Shot

Annie Garret is a new woman who moves out of Colorado to some ranch in California after he fails to land work where they are abandoned by Ross with their seven-year-old daughter Taylor and her husband Ross. With no money and no friends, and Taylor and Annie's prized racehorse, Tolo, to look after, Annie lands a job in a ranch hand and also stable man in a stud farm owned by the stern Mary Lou O'Brien who's hiding some man demons of her own. Despite Annie setbacks in life, by penetrating her horse in a riding contest that is high stakes, she decides to find an outing. But when her horse goes blind by a race disease, Annie must fight with her hardships.
