The Man Standing Next
In the 1970s, Korea is completely under the control of President Park, who also controls the KCIA, the institution that has an advantage over any branch of government. KIM Gyu-pyeong, the director of KCIA, appears to be the most promising second-in-command. During the reign of terror, a former KCIA director, PARK Yong-gak, who knows all about the government's shadowy operations, is exiled to the United States, where the 'Koreagate' inquiry is underway. As the tension rises, oppressive political maneuvering by all second-in-commands takes place.
