The film revolves around Lucy, who has a baby, a residence and a husband, but old ghosts won't let her to be. She's dedicated her life to helping families break the cycle of abuse, so when she along with her husband, Wade, watch the echoes of a barbarous family catastrophe within their home, Lucy attempts to help the tortured spirits break loose of their anguish and proceed. She finds, however, these ghosts do not desire her help -- they want to lead Lucy and her relatives with their doom.
