The Trials of Muhammad Ali
Brash boxer Cassius Clay came to the attention of the American public in the early 1960s, just before the Civil Rights movement began. During the Vietnam War, when Ali refused to fight for the U.S. government, his religious awakening led to a long and bitter legal battle with the U.S. government, which he lost in the end. This movie shows how race, religion, and politics all came together to make one of the most famous sports stars in history.
