As a writer named Mike tries to get his semi-autobiographical sitcom into development, a network executive named Lenny starts to change his mind about what he wants to make. Even though Lenny makes crass suggestions, they help the show get better reviews from test audiences and move the show closer to being on TV, which is the irony of it all.
