The Wind in the Willows

One spring, Mole comes to the conclusion that he can put off the spring cleaning for a little while longer, and he and his new friend Rat set off on a series of exciting adventures. They have a lunch on the riverbank when they are on a caravan adventure with Toad until Toad changes his allegiance to his new automobile and starts driving recklessly, which causes Mole and Rat to look for Badger for assistance in restraining Toad's wasteful tendencies. Toad, however, is able to evade them and ends up receiving a sentence of twenty years in prison for larceny, dangerous driving, and gross impertinence from the magistrate. Badger is severely battered as he attempts to protect Toad Hall from the schemes of the Weasels while Toad is working his charms on the daughter of the jailer and escaping from jail dressed as a washing woman. Toad Hall cannot be retaken without a strategic plan of attack and the participation of all four allies.
